Software engineer with 15+ years of experience building backend systems at scale.
I've spent my career designing and building systems from the ground up, working alongside talented engineers at organizations like Paytm, Salesforce and Arcesium. Early on, I had the opportunity to help build the backend platform for Paytm, one of India's largest payments platforms, an experience that shaped how I think about reliability, scale, and correctness in production systems.
My work spans microservices, event-driven architectures, batch processing pipelines, and data-intensive applications built on databases and search engines like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and OpenSearch.
What I write about: System design and architecture, backend and data engineering, software design patterns, and Java. I focus on practical lessons from real-world systems: the trade-offs, the failure modes, and the decisions that don't make it into documentation.
Why I write: I owe much of my career to the authors and engineers who shared what they knew. I believe knowledge shouldn't be reserved for a select few, so I write to pass it forward, clearly and generously.
I'm also the author of Software Design Patterns for Java Developers, available on Amazon.
Follow along if you want deep, practical writing on building software that holds up in production.
